Elon Musk’s platform, X (formerly Twitter), is advancing into financial services through a partnership with Visa. This collaboration aims to launch “X Money Account,” a real-time payment service expected later in 2025. The service will feature an in-platform digital wallet, enabling peer-to-peer payments linked to users’ debit cards and facilitating transfers to bank accounts.
This initiative aligns with Musk’s vision of transforming X into an “everything app,” similar to China’s WeChat, by integrating various functionalities such as messaging, video chats, streaming, and payments.
The partnership with Visa marks a significant step in this direction, as it will allow users to fund their X wallet, connect debit cards, and transfer funds to bank accounts.
The X Money Account service is set to launch later this year, with Visa as its inaugural partner.
